Philosophy

My work is the amalgamation of over a decade of research and training at the intersection points of opposing concepts, sciences, and wisdom traditions.

This is where …

Spirituality meets Sociology

Systemics meets Energetics

Duality meets Non-Duality

The Basics

There are 4 types of awakening.

You can experience all of them - many times.

  • They are forms of occasional enlightenment.

  • They are shifts in perspective and in perception.

  • They bring sudden, unprecedented truth and clarity in the form of aha-moments, epiphanies, and presence.

  • They are catalysts for transformation and change.

  • They connect us to our higher self.

  • They take us to the next level of our spiritual growth journey.

Waking up to the Ego Self means understanding our values, needs, fears, triggers and patterns as logical, coherent effects of our life story.

You make sense. All of your feelings are valid. Your personality or identity configuration is a product of your interpretation of life experience as well as the narrative you tell yourself about that experience. As you meet that narrative with self-reflection and awareness, the story you tell yourself about yourself can begin to change. As the story changes, so does your enactment of your life story.

Awakening to the Matrix

Waking up to the Matrix means realising the subjectivity of systems and discourse as well as our (unconsciously) rehearsed participation in them.

Michel Foucault says that we cannot exist outside of power dynamics, outside of the social and cultural interplay that brings about the tug of war of relationality, right and wrong, supremacy and restriction. Part of the reason is that we are unable to see the bigger picture from inside our practiced roles and social configurations. It’s in the margins, however, of the prescribed configurations where the great potential for vision beyond the matrix can be found.

Waking up to the Conscious Self means becoming aware of our intuition, inner voice, field, healing power and of our soul’s connection to oneness.

The greatest power we can ever find is the one within. As we recover our intuition and turn up the volume on our inner voice and creative impulses, we reconnect to the realm of spirit: to our soul and purpose, to synchronicities and sacred relationships. We learn to trust our own self-help ability and reclaim full responsibility for our life experience. It’s in the synergy of body and mind and spirit that we reconnect to our full energetic potential and become whole.

Awakening to Now-Experience

Waking up to Now-Experience means being effortlessly in the present moment without expectation, thought, reference, or ego identity.

This type of awakening is also referred to as enlightenment. You might associate this with few “special people” - monks and spiritual teachers who’ve dedicated their lives to a deep inner practice, had an awakening experience and have been enlightened ever since. However, there is another form of spontaneous enlightenment: it’s temporary, it doesn’t require any diligent devotion - and it can be experienced by anyone - including you!

Why Being Occasionally Awake Is

the Spiritual Way to Go

  • Because an awakening doesn't have to last forever in order to be deeply transformative and meaningful

  • Because awakenings are diverse and can impact us in different ways

  • Because awakenings are for everybody – if we are aligned to notice them

  • Because it allows for our human imperfection to be a creative companion on the spiritual path rather than a rock obstructing that path

  • Because the path that doesn't try to bypass our emotions is a road of joy and pain, of bliss and grief, of connection and the experience of duality.

  • Because the way out of our collective and individualised numbness is through – not around – the state of being occasionally asleep as well
